John Campbell has been composing and performing since his childhood. Based in Toronto, Canada, John is active not only in the local music scene but in acting and modeling as well. John’s music can best be described as Adult Contemporary / Soul with a wide musical range and influences. John’s musical influences include such musical heavyweights as Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Seal and Sting. His original compositions draw on deeply personal themes, but appeal to a universal audience.
John has a long list of musical accomplishments including serving as choir director for the QBall Gala Tribute to Quincy Jones and the Canada Loves New York Campaign. He continues to give solo and group performances at numerous venues around the city including, Massey Hall, Roy Thompson Hall, Revival, C’est What, Bar Italia, The Bamboo Club and the Rosewater Supper Club. John has appeared as “Curtis” in the acclaimed stage musical “Dreamgirls” which he will be appearing in at a number of venues.
